About me

I was an archaeologist in NE England from 1974 – 1985. Then made redundant and retrained as a teacher. Taught history and geography in secondary schools in Newcastle upon Tyne until 1994. Pretty disillusioned by the National Curriculum even then. Took early retirement. and have been living off wife’s earnings since then. Been writing poetry and publishing some in small magazines since then. Did part-time BA in English Literature and Creative Writing at University of Kent at Canterbury followed by a part-time MA in Creative Writing. Writing short stories and a novel. None published yet ….. But did publish ‘The Book of Durham City’ in 1985! Long time ago.

He thinks the idea of living off his wife's earnings is a brilliant idea, but I fear he may be waiting some time ... Good luck with your writing. Katherine (more) and received+3
