I was born in London in 1959. I’m a dedicated amateur astronomer and like nothing more than writing, teaching and lecturing about the subject of the stars. I have written for the BBC Sky at Night Magazine, Astronomy Now magazine and other publications on astronomy and have made several appearances on the BBC Sky at Night television programme with Sir Patrick Moore and have contributed to Sir Patrick’s ‘Yearbook of Astronomy 2012’. I’ve had my own television programme called ‘Stargazer’ on Sky Television. I am a Guinness World Record Holder having been a part of the team who took the largest ground based image of the Moon ever accomplished. I am also a consultant to the Griffon Educational Observatory based in Southern Spain.
I run a small business called Astronomy Know How, dedicated to bringing the subject to a wider audience, based largely on a website of the same name.
