I’ve been writing since quite a young age, mainly short stories. I wrote my first novel c 1998 but, perhaps for the best, it didn’t get published.
Besides writing, I currently edit a science-fiction magazine called Contraterrene

Many thanks for your review of The Lighthouse Keeper. I'm very glad you enjoyed it, and to say it's in the best tradition of HPL is praise indeed - he's one of my favourites, too.
I'm going buy a copy of The Scent of Jasmine, since like you I hate reading fiction on a screen, and I'll be in touch as soon as I've read it (the opening pages fished me in with no problem!).
Incidentally, I've just bought a new novel by a writer called Adam Nevill, called 'Apartment 16'. Got some great reviews on Amazon, and looks very much up my street (maybe yours too). All the best, Alan (more)

Thank you for taking the time to review the sample chapters of Mystery, Deceit and a School Inspector and also for the kind comments regarding the book. It's good to see you felt the work engrossed and engaged you, I also hope you found the adult humour to be balanced.
Yes, it is true teaching can be exceedingly stressful but in my case I turned my own experiences in to something more to share with others.
I can assure you that not all of what you read was true or applicable to me (god forbid), certainly no danger of any law suits though.
Could I please ask for a star rating out of the CN five in your opinion?
