I am by training and experience an international business developer and have lived in Japan the Philippines and the USA, and of course the UK. My formative years were in Burma and East Africa.
My first book, Burma 1942, Memories of a Retreat’ was released in March 2009. This work not only deals with primary source diary data but also analyses the role of contemporary memory in the historical context. ‘Cossacks at the Door’, an historical and interpretive novel covering the period of 1890-1904 and the British invasion of Tibet, appears on completelynovel.com for the first time. Additionally a 10,000 word outline challenging the historian’s take on the British invasion of Tibet in 1904 has also been prepared. An embryo project is another challenge to historians but this time in Africa and the role of Spicer-Simpson in the defeat of the German navy on Lake Tankanyika in WW1.
