About me

Where to begin? I have always enjoyed writing, ever since I was a child and can’t remember a time where I haven’t wanted a book in my hand. I did a degree in English and Drama at Roehampton University and ended up doing a PGCE at the Cambridge University, Homerton College after which I embarked on a career in teaching. I’ve been doing this ever since. I read excessively, all sorts of novels by different authors; my favorites are Ian Rankin, Ruth Rendell and Daphne du Maurier but I’m always finding others. That said, writing is a passion for me and I really enjoy the creative release it can give. “Mystery, Deceit and a School Inspector” was published in 2006 with UK Independent publisher Pneuma Springs (you can read the first few chapters for nothing here on CN). I now also write to appeal to the darker side of the teenage/young adult mind. My second work titled OTOLI for Young Adult readers went through redraft here on CN with the help of readers feedback. This book was published by Pneuma Springs on 28th April 2011. I’m now researching and writing for other projects for both Adult and Young Adult readerships. I look forward to touching base with you all.

Just realised you replied to my previous, but I can't read your reply as the "more" button doesn't work. Never mind, I'm sure it was charming and supportive as always! (more) and won+3

In respect of the 1 star review you mention I wouldn't worry about it, it sounds like someone who wants to try and derail any potential success. Amazon is littered with a lot of self published authors in similar genres that have grudges against others it would seem that get publishing deals so it could be one of them. If it was a genuine customer then I would be really surprised, your writing definitley has nothing 1 star about it and that has been proven here on CN. I had a quick look at that review and it is the only review that particular person has posted so it's a little suspicious in my opinion. Are Snowbooks expecting you to do any promotion or are they running with everything then? It would be lovely if my publisher had pots of money to throw at marketing but alas they don't, not yet anyway. Best regards Bryony (more) and earned+3

Thanks again for buying! Just had my first one-star review. Not as demoralising as you might think, since all the others (yours included) are five stars! No promotion to speak of, actually. We are keeping an eye out for the 'In stock' on Amazon before ordering 'Feaster'. Have you had much promotion to do for 'Martian Amabassador' or are Snowbooks doing most of that? (more) and earned+3

There are a couple more reviewers pending but they should be through soon. After that I just hope readers across the world can take the time to put out a review of the book no matter how small in wherever they choose (Amazon, The Book Depository, Google, Goodreads etc.). It all helps. I did a local BBC radio interview yesterday which was good exposure for the book and Bullying UK (Ipswich Town centre just happened to have had a jewellers robbery going on while I was at the studio so it all went a bit mad as it was hot news). I have some author events coming (signings, reading/author visit) so there's plenty to do. No problem about mentioning Ambassador, it is a great read and I will be getting a copy of the Feaster from the Stars once your publisher releases it. Husband loved the taster for it.
