About me

Where to begin? I have always enjoyed writing, ever since I was a child and can’t remember a time where I haven’t wanted a book in my hand. I did a degree in English and Drama at Roehampton University and ended up doing a PGCE at the Cambridge University, Homerton College after which I embarked on a career in teaching. I’ve been doing this ever since. I read excessively, all sorts of novels by different authors; my favorites are Ian Rankin, Ruth Rendell and Daphne du Maurier but I’m always finding others. That said, writing is a passion for me and I really enjoy the creative release it can give. “Mystery, Deceit and a School Inspector” was published in 2006 with UK Independent publisher Pneuma Springs (you can read the first few chapters for nothing here on CN). I now also write to appeal to the darker side of the teenage/young adult mind. My second work titled OTOLI for Young Adult readers went through redraft here on CN with the help of readers feedback. This book was published by Pneuma Springs on 28th April 2011. I’m now researching and writing for other projects for both Adult and Young Adult readerships. I look forward to touching base with you all.

In respect of the video, this was actually made by my supportive technically minded husband with input from myself (I suppose having a partner in IT has its advantages). Some of the images were sourced locally, took photos etc. He used a combination of things to create and edit those in the video. These were Oracle Open Office Draw, Oracle Open Office Impress. Microsoft photo story was used to move the images and music together before upload to you tube as the hosting media. The music was sourced from www.karaoke-version.com and we did email to ask regarding licensing copyright. We paid £1.50 to download the music and had a response back saying that it would be okay to use for the video in public domain as it isn't the original. I have linked to that site in the video description and also on my own website so they were happy with that too. I have filed the email I received from them somewhere safe just in case. That was it really. I hope it comes across well, we tried to break the book down in to its raw elements regarding plot and built the video idea around that. Since the book is a witty, humorous, Mystery whodunit I feel the video should help people to think about the kind of read they can expect if they buy the book. Thanks again. I added a short video trailer for my Mystery, Deceit and a School Inspector sample chapters recently. If you click the video link it displays a splash screen for it but nothing else appears. I entered the URL to the video on You Tube, should this be html code instead? Best Regards Bryony (more) and received+3
