I read this book before the film came out and whilst I was reading it through the tears I said to my mum they must make this into a film. This made me cry, laugh and get quite angry, I felt so connected to the characters. I really could not put this book down. The way Kathryn has captured the way people lived in the 60's in Mississippi is fantastic.88| It is disgusting how the white upper class women treated the Black women then, the White women had no care or heart for people, that is why I feel in love with the character miss Skeeters nature. This book has 450 pages and i read those in 3 days it was amazing and as I said it should be made into a film and it now has, cant wait to see it (if I get time as I have so many books to read)
