Self Publish Online and Print-on-demand

I joined CompletelyNovel in July of 2008, hoping to find a resource about publishing in the UK. Now, these months later, I’ve networked with other writers, collated and edited the CompletelyNovel Launch Anthology, put my finger firmly on the pulse of up-and-coming authors from the UK and around the world, and published my own short story collection. The team at CompletelyNovel have been immensely enthusiastic, and have offered constant support. I look forward to what the future holds!

From the moment I heard about CN, I couldn’t wait to become involved with the website. As an English graduate keen to build a career in the publishing industry, I collect books with the kind of enthusiasm that many women reserve for buying shoes. Immersing myself in CN’s friendly and knowledgeable community of readers, writers, and industry experts enables me to make informed choices about what I read and to keep up to date with the latest developments in the literary world.

I believe CompletelyNovel gives a fantastic opportunity to first time writers or even established writers with a smaller target audience, I was able to publish my first book through them and it has given me the confidence to write my second.
I have found the site incredibly user friendly and have experienced no problems whatsoever in getting my book to print. As a writer I also find it very encouraging to be able to communicate directly with the readers who are interested in my work.
But, above all this I have been amazed at the level of support given to writers and support from the online community.

As a HarperCollins author, I find it really useful to be able to get my early drafts turned into books for the editing and proof-reading stages. CN allows me to do this quickly and easily, for less than the cost of a book in the shops – and the quality is great, too.

I devour books but always have trouble remembering titles and authors when I want to recommend books to friends. CompletelyNovel helps me keep track of my reading (and my opinions) as well as linking me up to people with similar tastes, who I can chat to about the books I love. They’re also a great source of suggestions for what to read next.
Reading the books writers upload to the site is a great way to expand my literary horizons. The quality of the books I’ve read is really high and I’ve discovered genres I’d never previously have picked up.
