Firstly, welcome here..I am new myself and just gaining a feel for the site too so apologise in advance if this is the wrong way to go about things.
I was just wondering what adult fiction you take on.
I have a novel (nearly completed 3rd draft..give or take!- approx 70,000 words) that I want to send out, but not sure what genre it comes under, or who best to approach.
It is about life and death in the East End of London in the fifties.
I would be grateful for your advice on the matter!
Thanks

My advice to new writers would be to ensure your writing is original, particularly the first few lines should stand out, otherwise an agent will not bother to read much more of your script. It's no good saying that the novel really starts at chapter five; then, chapter five should be chapter one! I hope you enjoy your weekend. (more)

Would be great to hear how life in your literary agency is going. I saw from the agency profile on CompletelyNovel that it is a relatively young company - what made you decide to become a literary agent? Do you have any tips that other CompletelyNovel writers might want to consider when approaching literary agents? (more)

I started out as a writer having read extensively as a child and into adulthood. My favourite book? Difficult to say now as I read so many scripts and have my own authors who, of course, are all my favourites. I do remember my brother buying Roald Dahl as a Christmas present for my neice; she was a little too young to appreciate the humour but we all laughed that Christmas as I read parts of it to the adults.
