I have just finished reading through your father's book, which I received yesterday. I would like to think that I am one of the hundred or so dedicated staff that left MIRA along with Don at the time of the questionable change of direction. Your mother had quite a production line of cakes for leaving celebrations in those days! Reading through the book I recognised many stories that he used to tell us in the sports club bar at lunchtimes, found some new ones and remembered others that he may have omitted for reasons of propriety. I was only at MIRA for about 5 years as my first job fresh from university but I treasure the memories of working with Don and others like him. Thank you so much for seeing to it that this book was published. Don was a true gentleman and character, an inspiration to us all! Please pass on my regards to your mother and be assured that I am making the existence of the book known to my MIRA contemporaries and others who I know will appreciate the content.
