Sharif George posted a message to Anna Lewis and received+3 Hi Anna A quick question, I am in the process of starting my own publishing company for a ver...Hi Anna A quick question, I am in the process of starting my own publishing company for a very limited set of authors and interest groups, I want to use CN to both distribute and print my books - but ... I have a couple of "challenges" I wonder if you would be able to help me with them. 1) I would like to have my own set of ISBN numbers - i.e. be registered as the publisher as opposed to CN being the publisher. 2) I would like to be able to edit the marketing info that goes up to amazon - in the case of the book that I have already done, the Amazon entry is completely blank!! and even as the author I can't change it. My "understanding" is that if I own the ISBN then from there I can change the author etc. Which resolves my issue here - as most of the books will go direct to the authors and or be sold through amazon they (the book buyers) will rarely see the CN site. Also, if I go this route will I still get listed (by CN) in Neilsons? and can I "upgrade the listing" to their premium listing - I don't mind doing it outside the system if you can let me know costs and of course process. Really love the site and although I have looked elsewhere it's still by far the best out there. Sharif (more)
