George Timcke

George has spent much of his career as a purveyor of the printed word to the engineering industry – principally in the realm of railway and other transport infrastructure projects – functioning as writer, editor, illustrator and trainer. He is on Ian Allan’s (the railway publisher) panel of editors. Now edging gently into a more literary sphere, he is producing the new and innovative Line Clear edition of the novels of Jane Austen – the approachable edition of Jane Austen – with a dozen other eighteenth- and nineteenth-century novels poised to follow. For the Line Clear editions George is editor, designer, typesetter, cover designer and (in one instance so far) indexer. He has a number of non-fiction books of his own on the stocks, the publication of which, thanks to Completely Novel, has at last become a practical possibility.
