As a reader you can read books online, comment and share your thoughts on books.
As a writer you can publish your book online and in print (using print-on-demand) and promote your books using your profile pages and the bookstreamer (embeddable online book reader like a youtube video).
There are some very knowledgeable people about so if you've got a question put it out there and I'm sure you'll get a useful response.
