About me

I am a retired carpenter who, having a fascination with both the source of the flood tales i.e. the Biblical Flood and Atlantis, and the source of the British Imperial system of measures, began research into the subjects way back in the early 1980s. Given the time involved for research it is clear that these works are not the quickly garnered assembly of frequently dissociated bits and pieces that occasionally have been termed history in recent decades. These are serious works that at long last reveal just what these mythical tales have in common and the commonality is far from that which most would expect. The final results of the research are found in the two works Deluge and Measurements of the Gods under the generic title of Megalith, Masonry, Myth and Measure.
These works have been examined by a number of editors of major British publishing houses but unfortunately the timing was wrong and while a number of these people actually praised the works, it seems that this element of history, in fact history in general, is currently not very fashionable with publishers. As my literary agent stated, it’s a pity but we can’t buck the market. So here we are on the web.

    Hi Howard,

Thanks for those kind words. Only just noticed. I have been very busy with all sorts of late, not least of which is historical debate on Graham Hancock’s site…some good guys there.. some of the other sort as well unfortunately.

Regarding publishing my work, I have had some good comments from the few who have taken the trouble to study what I have written but publishers want a sure-fire winner…the whole industry has gone to the proverbial dogs in my opinion. It has been heading that way for quite a while, short term gain and to hell with the long term term future.

We cannot blame individual editors, the directives from above are the problem. There were some favourable comments from individual editors when initially trying to get the works published…and not any that were really negative, one commented upon the fact that numbers do not attract readers…quite correct, and another on the length…other than that all comments were favourable…but even when editors liked the stuff personally, their hands were tied.

So there it is…and that is the reason I am here, no luck with mainstream and a subject that interests many…but the method of interpretation puts many off…which in effect is why these logical answers have not arisen in the past…people are afraid of a couple of numbers coupled with the Victorian attitude of the ‘ancients’ not being very bright…strange, they in fact laid the foundations of all modern science…not very bright? You can guess what I think of that attitude!

Again, thanks for the appreciation…it is appreciated!

    Best
