As we've had more things for people to do our old navigation doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. Parts of the site are harder to find because there is more there. So we're in the middle of a big usability upgrade. I'll get some pictures of what we have in mind posted in the completelynovel discussion club shortly.
Regarding the hottest charts they now take the amount of activity in the last day/week/month/year/ever into account so your book may be a little further down the chart because other books have had more activity recently. We have also had a glitch in that if you look at the hottest in the search results it shows the hottest 10 in no particular order (its complicated but we're working on sorting it out).
Regarding the stats, we've got a treat in store for you. The reason we took the stats down is because we are completely upgrading them. Soon you'll have charts that track your books performance over time in terms of page views, reads etc. We are also going to track bookstream embeds so you can see how many times your books is being viewed elsewhere.
As I say I'll start a discussion in the CN discussion club.
Hope all's well, Oli (more)

I don't really understand the "Hottest books" lists anymore - LAst Street seems to be the hottest by far in terms of reads, reviews etc, and yet is at about number 5. I also can't keep a track of how many view my books have had, which was a big draw for me. I still think its a wonderful idea for a site, and greatly appreciate all the effort that goes into it, but thought I'd have a moan in case anyone else was feeling the same. (more)

I thought I sounded terrible, but I guess its one of those things that you hate the sound of your own voice. Not ideal that I had to split it into five parts, but the maximum size of a video is 2mb, which equates to about two minutes. I guess I could just read really fast! Really appreciate the encouragement though. (more)

It's a really unpretentious look at how to get writing. Or in my case, get writing again. The good thing abot King is that he's a popular, mainly genre, writer who cares about writing - which is just as important as having great literary writers, I think. (more)
