Heidi was my first grown up book. When you’re six, Heidi with no pictures is a very grown up book, especially when you read it the whole way through by yourself. I’ve loved reading ever since I can remember and as well as trying all kinds of new books, doing a degree in foreign languages certainly broadens your horizons should they need it, I love re-reading old favourites.
I recently finished my degree, and am now trying to work out the most direct route to my ideal job- literary translation with other publishing-y stuff on the side to make ends meet. Suggestions on a postcard please.
I could never name an absolute favourite book or author, although Heidi will always have a special place in my affections, but if anyone wants to share theirs I’m always on the look out for new books and authors to try.
