One could say that all Safier's books are more or less the same. I have read all three of them within less than two months. If there would be a fourth book coming out right now, I would not hesitate to buy it. What can I say: I am a fan.

Imagining you meeting a hot looking carpenter, falling in love with him and finding out he is - or thinks he is - Jesus. That's what's happening to the protagonist in this book. Don't ask what Satan looks like, by the way.
Again a fun page-turner with a message and a more light view on religion.
I somehow liked Mieses Karma better - maybe because the theme fits to my current working situation - but am happy I own this book as well.
As soon as I read the first page, I was hooked. I love the writing style: not a word too much, which makes it a fast and pleasant read. It is funny and serious at the same time, has a touch of sarcasm, whichI love. The story makes you wonder how nice one really is towards other people, or what the real the motivation is behind one's actions.
I don't know if there is an English translation out on the market.
This handbook gives you all the information you need about literary agencies, publishing houses and magazines (addresses, the subjects they publish, how they accept submissions, etc.). There are also some useful writing tips plus articles on how the writing industry works.
If you ever wondered what it would be like to start making your own porn productions from scrap, ‘Touch Wood’ is the book to read. It is a true story, written by a successful British porn director who stays anonymous, but who’s real identity is probably not difficult to unravel if you are familiar with his work.
The protagonist is the producer himself, telling us how he decided to end his not so prosperous career in music and start making porn movies for a living. The writer makes you a witness of all the struggles and problems he encounters while trying to get his company off the ground, making sure his conservative parents do not find out, finding locations to shoot and keeping the talent happy (and silent).

It is a lot of fun to read, with some interesting information about the porn industry. The one things that’s making me wonder, is that he writes about wanting to make a different kind of porn, a bit more stylish with more story. The scenes and conversations he describes though, do not seem to differ from any other regular wham bang hard core movie. I guess I need to start watching his work to find out what he is talking about (or produce my own porn movie).
