I’m relatively new here, so I apologise if this turns out to be a stupid question, but is it possible to use the BookStreamer to showcase short stories and flash fiction (individually as opposed to anthologies)? I appreciate that books/stories have to be at least 56 pages long to qualify for printing, but I don’t see why that limit should apply if you only want the story to appear online. I had a look around the site for other discussions and/or help topics about this, but I couldn’t find anything.
Also, I’m not sure if this is related, but I’ve noticed that during the publishing stage, when you set “Type of Publication” to “short story”, it always reverts back to “book”.

Hi Mark,
You should be able to publish something of any length using the ‘BookStreamer Online Publishing’ option. As it is only for online use it shouldn’t have any print restrictions.
As for the ‘type of publication’ this is to classify your publication to help people find the type of content they wish to view easily. It shouldn’t have any effect on the printing page count restrictions.
I will check everything through tomorrow and get back to you on both cases.
All the best,
Oli
Thanks Oli, I’ve just tried it again and it’s working fine now. With hindsight, I think the problem may have been down to me trying to upload stuff while the site was still being upgraded.
