Hey you have just read /written a great piece of work and then. Get out there and share it. There a loads of items on this site……..which dont get much of a response. Lets meet up and discuss them, or just drink and talk about them. How about a CompletelyNovel fair. Once every 6 months perhaps. I love satire and how to publish soon. Sent my work off to a publisher. What have you been doing??

Hey, Great idea.
The CompletelyNovel community is just starting out but I agree there are some great pieces being shared. I think a get together to share work and ideas sounds like a great addition.
I’d love to know know what you have in mind. Maybe this will be the start of a little community powered festival.
We’ll certainly help promote the event and let readers/writers/publishers on CompletelyNovel know about it if you’re up it.
Cheers, Oli
Hi, I thought of all the writers out there who find writing a lonely profession and wanted to relax with a pint and share/ source ideas/ inspiration from others. I have been struggling with a novel for 4 years, and just got recommended to an agent / publisher who is interested in the voice behind the story, and my style of suspense.
Having never dealt with a publisher before I wondered if there was anything I should be aware of etc, and it would be nice to know if my I am good at suspense.
I live in Cambourne/ Cambridge and work in London, so if this was handy for anyone else who wants to discuss ideas, We could meet say 2nd Sunday each month in a convenient watering hole.
Regards Satirist
A useful place to go to find meetups is Meetup.com. You can search for meetups of different types. We might try to pull a feed of writing meetups into CompletelyNovel at some point but going there is a good place to start.
