Why do you recomend Microsoft Word for writing?
I have used MSOffice, OpenOffice.org (LibreOffice) and LyX processor for writing, and MSOffice is by far the worst. OpenOffice does all MSOffice does, but with better default formats, and LyX creates wonderful PDFs for printing, as well as looking good on screen, and doesn’t need much in the way of extra editing. It can also export to a variety of file-formats to be compatible with OO and MSO.

      Hi Alex,
We’d love to be able to support all of the different word processing tools out there – I’ve personally used a number of alternatives and agree that they have a lot of benefits. However, the truth is that the vast majority of the writers still use MS Word, so in order for our service to be as accessible as possible, we’ve built the necessary support for that. We do, however, enable people to upload PDFs to the system so if the software you’re using enables PDF export, then that should do the job.
      All the best,

      Anna
