There’s no problem with publishing books in Russian. But there are couple of things that we would advise you to do if you are using Microsoft Word.
If there are unusual character sets or fonts, then you should embed the fonts in your document. There are details of how to do that here:

Alternatively, you can save as a PDF from word… you can find more details about how to do that here:

Please note that when you select the options for saving as a PDF, you should ensure that the box which says ‘ISO19005-I compliant PDF/A’ is ticked.
