      Sorry – don’t know of any in that particular area. The vast majority are based in London but you should be able to find a fair amount out about them from websites. Writers and Artists Yearbook or the Writers’ Handbook are both good places to start.

      Don’t worry about location of an agent, getting an agent is priority. Location is unimportant as most of the contact is via e mail nowadays. If you do get an offer from a publisher after obtaining the services of an agent then you will have to meet up and agree terms etc and the costs will be offset against income from your book. Until then there is no necessity to meet and most agents are only interested when they have a sale and can see the possibility of money incoming. Until then they are too busy to be bothered with something that will not earn them anything.

      Writers and Artists Year Book is the primary source for agents. Not easy to capture one of these, an elusive species, best of luck.
