I created my manuscript in Pages ’09 on a macbook pro then used the inbuilt exporter to export to PDF. I have even opened up the PDF in Acrobat and resaved it as a PDF/A document. I then uploaded the file and it went through uploading and conversion successfully. However, when I go to download the print ready file, I click on the link and get this message…

“A manuscript has been uploaded. However we cannot process it, please check the formatting as per our guidelines and try again.
The document converter is unavailable at the moment.
Please request a manual conversion and our team will convert it for you free of charge.
We will contact you once the conversion is complete.
    All the best,
    The CN team”

I have requested a manual conversion but can not see what is going wrong. I am looking to get a print run done so that I can get 50 books by 17th November so waiting for a manual conversion might jeopardise this. I have made sure that my manuscript conforms to all the publishing requirements. Can anyone help please!?

      Hi Krish,

I’ve taken a look and converted your manuscript. The typesetting looks really good!

So it should be good to go. The issue was the size being reported from the manuscript didn’t match the required size (manuscript metadata). I’ve made some changes to the system which reprocesses the manuscript metadata so we should be good from now on.

Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you. Let me know if you need a hand with anything.
