I was updating some of my lists today and wanted to put comments on the different entries but have thus far been unsuccessful. I enter the text in the appropriate section and hit save, but nothing shows up and the list indicates that the entry itself doesn’t have any comments. I’m probably being lame and missing a really easy step, but in case there’s a minor kink in the system, I thought I’d bring it to your attention.

    Thanks for all your help!

    • It is probably some bug in permissions. I’ll have a fixed rolled out shortly and will update this post when I do.

Thanks again Heidi, you’re a star.

    • Hi Heidi, I’ve just looked into this.

I think it is saving them ok (you should see the comment next to the book in the sidebar as you add them). Where the problem is arising is probably in the list display. The comments show on mouse hover which is probably a bit confusing as this generally shows the book name.

I’ll think of a better way display them. Perhaps we could show them in a box underneath the list as you hover over each book. Any thoughts?

    • Hi Oliver,

I think the idea of a box underneath the list when the mouse hovers over the book itself is a great idea – my only question would revolve around what type of limit there would be on # of characters that you could have in your comments…

Two other questions regarding the lists – 1) will there be an option in the future where someone can reply to a comment that you add to a list?

      2) If I put a review on the books in my list, will this act as a new review of the book itself, or are the reviews of the books on the lists kept separately? (Sorry if this seems confusing – I’m just trying to prevent duplicate reviews, especially since my reviews of the books in my lists would probably vary from the books in my regular library).

      Thanks for all your help!
