have you looked at the “Sales” tab after you go into the “My portfolio” tab from the home page?

The royalties that you earn from sales of your book are added to your CompletelyNovel account.
After you have reached a balance of over £50, a button will appear on your Sales tab in your Portfolio so you can request payment.
If, however, you would like to be paid before you reach that figure, we can transfer the money to you at the end of the quarter. Please just send an email to team@completelynovel.com with ‘Payment request’ in the subject line. Remember to include your name in the request, and ensure it is sent from the same email address that you used to sign up to CompletelyNovel.

      Thanks, Anna and All,

Sales have been a bit disappointing, but will try to push to over £50 before claiming. Have many people reached this magic number??

My sales will be via the likes of Amazon and other book sites as my book isn’t featured in the Readers cafe. I do have an authors account on Amazon and can track the sales, but this doesn’t account for other websites and the shops. Please can you tell me how this will work? Will CN just send the royalty in at the end of every quarter?

Hi Kate – excuse late response. I think you’ve got the answer now on the retrieving profit tab.

I really like the look of your book and the snake!

I’m a new to writing however and from what I hear sales of books build slowly

However, I did think of you whilst driving past an exhibition for African Art (it’s finished now) the other day.

If you haven’t already had this idea, with your book, I’d look for any events where Africa features and see if you can share a stand with one of the exhibitors – ie you keep you costs down by contribute towards the pitch – it helps the other person and people see your book.

Just a thought – in case you haven’t already had it.

      Wishing you all the best
      Wendy :o)

How often do Completely Novel receive royalty statements from retailers? We thought we’d sold enough paperback copies through retail channels at the end of last year to reach our £50 payout. Although our Portfolio includes a sales update on 1/2/13, this seems to only reflect US sales; we think (hope!) there should be more to be credited for Amazon UK, and maybe others.

I’ve no doubt that each retailer has their own schedule for reports; can you say when the biggest retailers send you their reports, please?

Sorry if this info is already available elsewhere; I often end up going round in circles trying to find this sort of thing!

      Thanks in advance. :)
