Can I use my own publisher name / imprint using a CN provided ISBN? Or does CompletelyNovel become listed as the publisher?

      Hi David,
If you purchase your ISBN from us then CompletelyNovel then yes, CN will be listed as the publisher. If you wish to have another publisher name then you can buy an ISBN separately. However, please note that this has implications for the retail distribution options, as mentioned in this thread.

I didn’t realise that, I assumed that by buying the ISBN, I would be listed as the publisher. What are the implications of CN being listed as the publisher? Doesn’t that mean that I am not in fact self-publishing?

      Hi Michelle,
Self-publishing means that you have the rights to the book. We are simply listed on the ISBN database as the publisher because that makes things easier for distribution and for managing the book’s details. The important thing is that you have full rights to the content and royalties from your book, as a publisher would.
