Something is wrong with the cover creator…or with me. I have tried three times to do a cover for Danny Didn’t do it UK edition and though each time when I click ACCEPT it looks perfect, when it appears again there are strange symbols on it and the letters are missing and jumbled up….

This is the question again. The words read like this: Instead of Danny Didn’t do it. Every time I try again to make a cover and I press ACCEPT because it is now ready, the picture I get back has on it: < ![CDATA DIDN’T DO IT <! CDATA]]
IT ALSO APPEARS ON THE BLURB AT THE BACK…..i HAVE GIVEN UP TEMPORARILY!

One of the most common causes of these errors is when you copy and paste text from a different programme such as Microsoft Word into the cover creator. Sometimes there is invisible formatting applied to the text which adds strange characters. The best thing is to type the text in directly, or copy and paste it into a plain text editor first, before pasting into the cover creator.
I deleted the mistaken characters in the cover creator and re-saved the cover and it looks like it has worked.
