Does ‘eBook distribution’ in my publishing plan mean my book is automatically available in eBook format or do I need to do something else to make this available?

      Hi Steven,

If you have created a paper version of your book it does not automatically create an eBook version.

We provide a separate Book Creator process for eBooks. This is because eBook version of your book should be formatted differently so it fits eReaders better.

      The most noticable differences are:

      • Smaller page size
      • No header or footer
      • More compressed PDF for faster download and less storage space

Once set up the eBook version will be available alongside your paperback version on the site.

The CN eBook is designed to be an accompaniment to the paper version but does not link into other eBook platforms like Kindle or Nook. Each of these platforms have their own eBook publishing process such as amazon dtp site.

      Hope that helps.

How do we access the ebook creator?

    • Just go into your portfolio, click on ´manage editions´for the book you want an ebook edition of and then click new edition in the top right of the screen. Then you are taken through.

Oli, just out of curiosity, my e-book version is available on a separate page to my print version. I notice others have a single page where you can opt to buy either print or e-book. It’s not a big deal but it does mean it appears as if I have two separate books (rather than two formats of the same book) and reviews will attach to one format of the book only.
