I have uploaded my word document several times in the past without problem to test that all was well. I have now completed the manuscript and am trying to upload again. When it gets to “Conversion” I get the message We have not been able to convert your manuscript to a printable document please try again or contact us

      Hi David,

It looks like our document converter couldn’t convert the document to a PDF. It seems to be very slow at the moment so I’ve done the conversion manually so the book is ready to continue through publishing.

I’ll get the document converter back up to speed tomorrow so everything should be back to normal.

Oli, thanks for that. As far as i can see you have picked up the latest change i made this evening which is fine. I have now been able to get right through to confirmation. What I really want to do now is to get a physical copy of the book. If I now publish, is the book available for other people to buy – even though I might still want to correct something? OR must I do all the checking on screen or print out the printable version? I am sure the answers i need are on your site somewhere but I guess what I am asking is what is teh best way I can get proof hard copy without committing to it for all time!

      Hi David,
You can publish the book but keep it ‘protected’ until you’re ready to make it available to the public. You will be the only one who can access it and buy a copy. It will be set to ‘protected’ by default and then it is up to you to change it to ‘public’ when you are ready. You can do that by accessing it through your portfolio.
