An interesting look at Haddon and his work. Curious Incident, although I enjoyed it, smacks of ignorance at times and has indeed come under fire from Autism societies. ‘A Spot of Bother’ is an enigma: a seemingly normal tale, but with an tragic ‘hero’, George Hall. Again, I cannot seem to ignore the fact that Haddon simply takes on too much, when actually he doesn’t fully understand the difficult conditions of which he writes. An interesting read all the same!
