CN Central: Directing readers to my book

Hi Kate – I know I sent you an email reply, but thought would put something in here too, for others to see.

Your author page is the best page to give to other people if you want them to head straight to your titles, rather than find out more about you and what you are like as a reader (not just a writer). That can be found if you click on the ‘Portfolio’ link which is on the left of your profile (or via the dropdown arrow from the ‘My Home’ tab).

An alternative is for people to just search for the title in the main search bar of the site. If you type in ‘THe Wine is Reed’ for example, your book comes up in the list so your visitors can click straight to it from there.

Thanks, Anna, but I’ve now found that the best thing to do in my case to direct people to THE WINE IS RED is to request them to use SEARCH and using KATE NIVISON, rather than the title. If they use the title, masses of other books about wine from Amazon come up, which are nothing to do with Com Nov, which is no good at all.
Everything else seems far to complicated.
However, I think SEARCH using my name only works here because it’s an unusual name.
Glad I’m not a Smith!
But at least I now have a way of instructing people to access it.
