Hiya,
Just browsing the ‘books’ tab and about to upload my own MS. What struck me was that there are a load of published books under this tab that come before you get to the books people have uploaded to CN, which are near the bottom of the page. It’s hard to tell where they start as well. I know there’s the ‘Recommended Books’ – but again, this seems to be a mixture of published and CN books, which seems to me kind of contrary to the website’s main purpose (with no indication that I can see of which is which). Might it be better to promote the books that people have uploaded before introducing the Amazon.co.uk feed?
Jon
EDIT: Just looked at it again and it’s not as unclear as I first thought. However I think it’s still worth considering, at least :)

Hi Jon,
Yes – we do want to ensure that the website gets the balance right between published and non-published books. The aim is that the recommended books will be generated largely through community activity and ratings. CN books will feature much more heavily on the website once we have got a few more full books uploaded and the printing sorted. At the moment, the books listed there are a bit random and partly due to us testing out different things that work.
Thanks very much for the comment – we will definitely consider how it is put together!
