I have quite a few organisations and publishers approaching me asking if they can launch competitions on CompletelyNovel. Has anyone got any preferences about the kind of prizes that they like to win – such as books, tickets, vouchers, and any bright ideas about ways that we can promote them?

    • I’m always partial to a book or two but I would also like a play with an eReader or two if they’re up for grabs.

For aspiring writers I would like to see publishers offering to have editors look at some book pitches or give away free tickets to events.

    • An eReader or two!!?? How many eBooks do you need to carry round with you?!

    • Oh yes, I would like to see competitions with book reader(s :-)) for the winner ! But my first thought would be a voucher so we can choose the book we want to read… even if we have to choose among the books of one publisher only!
What do you mean by tickets?
In term of promotion, maybe you should give entrants more chance if they send emails to their friends like we can see on lot of lottery, I’m sure it’s a good way to promote a competition and give us more chance to win !

    • An Ebook Reader would be a great prize! I’d love to win one of those — but I would also enter any competition with a book as a prize too. I’ve won a couple of books this year that I would probably never have heard of if it wasn’t a prize.
