The latest work from Alan Baker.
What do you think of serialising a novel and publishing it in parts? It was common in the days of Dickens when parts of books were a common part of news papers.
Also let us know what you think of the book, I’m sure Alan will appreciate any constructive criticism.

Worth mentioning that you might want to check out Part 1 of the Martian Ambassador and also see what else Alan has been writing and publishing on CompletelyNovel
Hello! Thanks to you both for your interest in The Martian Ambassador. I do hope you enjoy Parts 1 and 2. I’ve started on Part 3, which will hopefully be ready for upload in a couple of weeks’ time. I thought that, since the story is set in an alternate late-Victorian period, it would be a bit of fun actually to publish it the way many novels were published back then – in serial form, just as Oliver mentioned. And he is quite right: I would greatly appreciate any comments/criticism, favourable or critical, doesn’t matter. I’d really like to know what people think. All the best, Alan
I have a question about the writing of your books..if I may. How do you decide on the alien names and vocabulary that you use. Do you build up you own Klingon-like dictionary before you start or make it up as you go along? Being a previous languages student, I always find it really interesting to see how other people go abut making their own up!
