About me

Just One Year is my first novel, written entirely in Mojacar in Spain. It started very tentatively but eventually reached about 100,000 pages (edited to 98K). It has been quite a feat to get the POD and Kindle publishing done, but we did it!! Website now developed (www.colettesmith.weebly.com) so taking advice from this site. Now just got to sell.

About me, a retired lady living in Spain/UK – my doesn’t the sun make writing so much easier! I’m looking forward to reading some of the work here and hope some of you will read my effort.

I've been in touch with a publisher who, although, no longer publishing fiction has been amazingly helpful (resulting in a complete re-write of my first chapter, synopsis and other bits and pieces!!!). Anyway his biggest tip is to get the cover professionally designed and of course he's right. I'm in the middle of my next book so wasn't particularly wanting to go backwards but of course with this encouragement I feel I must. Anyway the book was going nowhere as it is. If you know where I could get the cover designed I would be very grateful. Regards Colette (more)
