Blood & Rain: The Incredible Voyage of the One-Armed People is the blending of innocence with the macabre. Our tale opens with a narration from the mysterious bones of Ben McGunn, a thief hung on a hill overlooking the village of Lamport. A whole ragbag world quickly unfolds, moving through this gothic folktale with humour, charm, and dark surrealism…
Tom-paul Smith : "This tale was originally written to entertain my sister; she said she enjoyed it but she has been known to lie before about stuff. Plus her favourite books are Ruby Ferguson’s “Jill Series” so it was always destined to be tough competition. I don’t want to be a braggart, like the eldest Chuckle brother in “Chucklevision”, but I think this story is much better than “Jill’s Pony Trek” but falls somewhat short of Ferguson’s classic “Rosettes for Jill”. I’m eternally grateful to those people who read the first drafts and convinced me to remove the big CGI explosion and Ewoks from the story. "
