Very different to the kind of ‘fairs’ I went to as a teenager (which involved junk food, dodgy waltzers and someone throwing up across the entire window of the local bank) this week was all about the London Book Fair. It was a chance for us to meet more of the people behind the books. Fancy seeing a bit more about the creative people behind the books? It’s never easy to deal with rejection, but Amanda Leduc, a writer, shares some thoughts on how to make it less painful. Though the ‘Marvellous Skin Thickening Cream’ her aunt gave her didn’t prevent those rejections rocking up to her door, it has let her look on her experiences and laugh (or at least try to!)
