I love it when a plan comes together, and at CompletelyNovel our plan to better match our publisher plans to the needs of our members is coming together nicely.
CompletelyNovel publishing systems are going to be upgraded over the next month. We aim to make publishing more simple and tailor the publishing plans to our members requirements.
The Plus plan was initially designed to be a low cost way to enable Amazon availability through merchant accounts. However, we noticed that sales figures through this channel were lagging behind those of full distribution. So the first big change to our plans is that the new Plus plan will benefit from the full distribution package including retail and Amazon distribution.
The headlines of the new publishing plans are:
Free plan: Two books, CompletelyNovel distribution
Plus plan: Two books, Full retail distribution
Plus plan: Ten books, Full retail distribution
The Plus plan aims to be an effective and low cost plan for self publishers with only one or two books.
The Pro plan is designed for small and independent publishers with a larger portfolio.
During the transition period (from now until mid February), the Plus plan will be unavailable to new members. Existing Plus plan members will receive the benefits of the new Plus plan automatically when we make the changes. If more than two books have been published on a Plus plan, all existing books will receive the full benefits. However, if after the updates a Plus member wishes to publish a new title beyond the two books the plan affords then they will be required to upgrade to a Pro plan.
