Yes – definitely one of those ongoing debates. I haven’t been brave enough to watch the film of Catch 22. It’s probably my favourite book so I wouldn’t want to feel annoyed. I’m with you, Mike, on the 24 hour movie thing…that’s my main problem with films, that they always manage to miss out so much. I might check out the film though – if the director can make it into a good film, even if it is a very different experience to the novel(though still somehow keeping the essence of the book) then definitely worth seeing!
