Today sees the launch of The Literary Platform. It’s a website which has been launched by Sophie Rochester to showcase projects experimenting with literature and technology. The aim of the platform is also to bring together comment from industry figures and key thinkers.

CompletelyNovel and our 24 Hour Book Project are featured on the platform alongside projects such as The Golden Notebook, Jamie Oliver’s iPhone app, and the recently launched Alice for the iPad.

It’s great to see the experimentation going on within the publishing world, often criticised for being slow when it comes to embracing new technology. Hopefully it will give publishers and authors plenty of ideas of ways that they could expand their books into other imaginative projects and on to different platforms.
