We’ve made a few improvements to Author Portfolios in CompletelyNovel.
So, if you’ve self-published a book with us, these changes are designed to make it easier for you to edit the books you create, see what stage you’re at and make sure you don’t forget anything. There’s also an easier way for you to check on sales and your publishing Plan.
Here is a run-down of the changes:
The Portfolio Page
We’ve simplified the edition groups and individual listings so that they now all appear in your main Portfolio page.
You’re only likely to notice a difference here if you have created a number of versions of previous books e.g. you published one title with revised editions, eBook version etc. Otherwise it just means that it will be quicker to get back to the books you’ve started to create.
We’ve changed where you can find out about your sales. It’s now in a tab on right hand side of the Porfolio screen.
You’ll also see in that tab that you can alter the PayPal account email address that we pay out your royalties to. By default we will use the email address that you use to pay for your subscription, but you now have the option to change that.
Also in a tab on the right hand side of the Portfolio screen is information about your Plan. We’ve made it easier for you see which plan you are on, and options for upgrading/downgrading.
The book Manage area
We’ve added a summary tab where you can see when you made the last updates and the essential details of your book.
Wherever you are in the Manage area for each book, you will always see your book’s checklist along the right hand side. This checklist has links that you can click on to find out more about how to fulfil the different stages.
We’ve also made some small adjustments to the Content, Metadata, Distribution and Marketing tabs that push up the most relevant information to the top.
If there’s anything you’re not sure of when it comes to the new layout, or you have any other questions then please feel free to ask us in the comments below!
