A bit of an experiment, which is why I'm so keen on getting any feedback (whether appreciative or critical - doesn't matter) from readers. I liked the fog bit - very sinister, and i just know that the details of the different pillars in the house's foyer are going to be quite important. At first sight, it looks like really hard going, but I blasted through it in a few days and loved every minute. A great rarity: a densely-written, intellectually challenging page-turner!
