I am a retired carpenter who, having a fascination with both the source of the flood tales i.e. the Biblical Flood and Atlantis, and the source of the British Imperial system of measures, began research into the subjects way back in the early 1980s. Given the time involved for research it is clear that these works are not the quickly garnered assembly of frequently dissociated bits and pieces that occasionally have been termed history in recent decades. These are serious works that at long last reveal just what these mythical tales have in common and the commonality is far from that which most would expect. The final results of the research are found in the two works Deluge and Measurements of the Gods under the generic title of Megalith, Masonry, Myth and Measure.
These works have been examined by a number of editors of major British publishing houses but unfortunately the timing was wrong and while a number of these people actually praised the works, it seems that this element of history, in fact history in general, is currently not very fashionable with publishers. As my literary agent stated, it’s a pity but we can’t buck the market. So here we are on the web.
Give me just a few hours tonight and your friend should be able to order the book himself from CompletelyNovel. I just need to look up some postage prices for CPI to send to the USA.
We are also pretty much ready to go with Lightning Source printing in the USA. We’ve printed books with them but they want to run a few more tests still. This should provide a cheaper and more efficient option for selling to the USA but won’t be ready for a couple of weeks.
Regarding eBooks you could always sell him a PDF copy of the book, get him to pay you via paypal perhaps? We had a big chat about our eBooks strategy today. We’re cooking something up, I’ll put a series of articles up about it next week which I would welcome your thoughts on.
Hope all’s well, Oli

Hi Rasmus,
I don’t know if you are familiar with this site or not but probably the best site on the web for religious and related literature including folklore is
http://www.sacred-texts.com/
I cannot praise this highly enough. To keep operating the owner sells CDs of content…you have to see the contents to believe it!
There is an associated Facebook slot at
http://www.facebook.com/pages/sacredtexts/95454689876
I thought I would pass the info on, in fact I should have mentioned it previously.
Cheers

Hi Rasmus,
Thanks for the interesting reply. The whole area of religion is a fascinating study and there are so many variations of ideas based upon a singular concept.
The folks I have been having discussions with are generally well into Greek gematria which I view as meaningless outside its own paradigm. Similarly with the I Ching. Such entities are of historical interest regarding their purpose and design but outside that they are basically a mathematical plaything.
Musical values are also part of the same arguments as the numbers of hertz to a note can sometimes be seen in counts of feet or inches in various in cubits etc…once more mere numerical coincidence, what has the vibration rate of a string in common with the count of feet in a unit that is related to an approximate measure of Earth diameter or circ? Of course, it is not related but folks see connections everywhere…
It is coincidence that you mentioned Greek as I have just finished writing a lengthy post explaining my position, including comments such as those above, for these characters…I hope I do not offend them as they seem tidy folks but I have to be honest and not accept what I perceive as erroneous.
I think we shall have some interesting discussions in the future. Being realistic I had not thought of selling many books but my aim has been to put a different perspective on matters, an interpretation that is practical and fits with the description in the original texts…which does not apply to any other such work that I have read to date. To obtain this info folks have to read the books and it is pure coincidence that I appeared here at CN. If a publisher had taken the books on board then obviously that would not have happened.
As you imply, to be commercial one usually requires something more than fact no matter how interesting the facts may be…people appear to require fantasy, I admit to enjoying a selection of detective writers…for their style, characterisation and plotting. The crime is immaterial as it is the detection that I enjoy…as with historical investigations…
Best wishes
Harry

I understand what you mean about finding time…it is a valuable commodity…wonder we are not charged for its use in this nasty commercial world!
Hopefully in a few weeks I shall at long last have sufficient of the ephemeral stuff free to really get stuck in to your work, my sort of material. However, while the interest is great, after spending tree years studying religion at university I am a convinced atheist…
In fact I feel that not having a belief is an advantage when examining religious material of any type as one does not then have any pre existing dogma to get in the way of constructive thought.
I have been having some online discussions on other sites regarding measures, some useful some not. Surprisingly, the Deluge and Atlantis appear to attract little interest, it was thought that the reverse would be the case but measures have created more than Deluge…
My problem is associated with time…I do the right thing at the wrong time! I should have had these works ready a dozen years ago and they would have sold well…publishing has its fashions…
Any queries about the books contents please ask.
Cheers
Harry

Recently I opened “The Great Pyramid Passages” (John and Morton Edgar ) for the first time. Dont know if expecting a intellectual revelation, but my intuitive feel tells me they captured something that few others are aware of.

very interesting finding your titles online. Will have a read at them all when I get more free time on my hands. One thing I misunderstood for that ‘1st edition’ of The Unveiling was the struggle with simply symbolising eternity (i.e. ultimately then nothing). It’s now corrected for a fully edited 2cnd version I dont yet know what to do with.
Thanks again for finding me, looking forward to have a go at your material.
God bless
